Unprecedented participation in place-to-place surveys

The ICSC secretariat reported today that the unprecedented levels of participation in the place-to-place surveys conducted in September were replicated in the October surveys, conducted in Geneva, Austria, Montreal, and Washington, DC. Staff should recall the importance of the information they provided because it enables the secretariat to have the most up-to-date data on which to base the post adjustment.

FICSA was a strong supporter of the survey, providing training workshops on place-to-place surveys In Geneva, Rome, Vienna, Montreal and Washington, D.C., ensuring that staff representatives joined the survey teams, and distributing to its members information notes to share with staff to encourage them to complete the survey forms.

FICSA would like to thank the survey coordinators and their teams and, most of all, the staff who took part in this very important exercise. FICSA will be monitoring the data analysis and will as always participate in the January 2011 session of the Advisory Committee on Post Adjustment Questions (ACPAQ).
