The Federation has four types of membership. Full MemberThe membership of the Federation is constituted by the staff associations and unions of organizations belonging to the United Nations family, or applying the terms and conditions of service of the United Nations common system, and by the staff associations and unions of regional offices of any of these organizations, which: Associate MemberAssociate membership is constituted by the staff associations and unions of international organizations not belonging to the United Nations family and not applying the terms and conditions of service of the United Nations common system, which: Consultative StatusConsultative status with the Federation may be granted by the Council, on the recommendation of the Executive Committee, to associations and unions of actively employed or retired international civil servants and to similar bodies which do not fulfil the conditions for Full or Associate membership, but whose aims are similar to the Members of the Federation. Observer StatusObserver status with the Federation may be granted by the Council, on the recommendation of the Executive Committee, to local inter-organizational federations upon their request. Dues to be paid to FICSA by members with consultative or observer status are at a flat rate, defined by the FICSA Council. |
