Associations and unions should submit information on their health insurance schemes, specifically on the long-term care insurance, and share this information with all members. It was also felt that a broader study could be undertaken in order gain insight into what the insurance plans from sister organizations cover so as to be able to propose changes in their local plans.

However, it is clear that each association/union must make a commitment to provide the pertinent information and needed resources in order for this recommendation be realized. It was recommended that the item long-term care and health insurance scheme should be placed on the agenda of the next FICSA Council.
